How to use the Library

Looking at a list of books on a spreadsheet is by no means the same as looking at the books on a shelf. For this reason I have included some descriptions.

The club also has many magazines from Chess, British Chess Magazine, Chess Sutton Coldfield, Kingpin et al.

Some browsers may not be compatible with the spreadsheet and produce only an empty placeholder. The 2 most recent versions of the following browsers should be ok. Make sure cookies and JavaScript are turned on.
Chrome
Firefox
Windows only: Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge
Mac only: Safari
Any problems switch to Internet Explorer.
When the publisher was well known for Chess books and there are several in the library I have listed the publisher.

Many of the books donated by BG have bus tickets inside seemingly used as bookmarks. I think it is valuable to retain these in the position they are found in.

If you would like to see or borrow a book or magazine then send a message to peter@palnet.co.uk and include the index number. I will leave it in the chess cupboard with the boards, peices and clocks, for you to collect. If you wish to return books, please leave them with the equipment with a note for me;ibrary
